One draw, four names

Saturday Lotto is one national draw sold under several names. The Lottery Corporation lists TattsLotto, Saturday Lotto, Gold Lotto and X Lotto among its game brands, and your ticket carries the name your state uses: TattsLotto is the Tattersalls name, Gold Lotto the Golden Casket name in Queensland, X Lotto the SA Lotteries name, and Saturday Lotto the name in NSW. In Western Australia, Lotterywest also calls it Saturday Lotto.

When it’s drawn

Sales close at 8:00 pm AEST on Saturday, 6:00 pm in Perth, and 9:00 pm AEDT in the daylight-saving states from October to April. Lotterywest says the draw is available to watch by 8:00 pm AWST. We copy the published result later that evening.

How the draw works

Eight balls are drawn from 45: the first six are the winning numbers and the last two are the supplementaries. You pick six numbers per game. Supplementaries count in Division 2 (five winning numbers and a supp) and Division 5 (three and a supp). Division 1 needs all six winning numbers.
